About
Phi Theta Kappa is a national honors society through community colleges. The Beta Zeta Theta chapter was established in 1997 at Johnston Community College in Smithfield, North Carolina, and continues to provide its members with opportunities to better their academic careers and serve their community. Membership is for life and grants members access to significant transfer scholarships and a renown prestige that carries forth following graduation.
We don’t just recognize students’ academic success; we give them opportunities to develop professional and leadership skills, earn scholarships, explore career paths — and make their worlds a lot bigger.
